Video games that defined my childhood
These are the games I played to death with I was younger. In no particular order.
1) Conan: Hall of Volta (apple IIc)

2) Bards Tale (apple IIc)

3) Super Mario Brothers (nintendo)

4) Zork (apple IIc)

5) Breakout (atari)

6) Minestorm (vectrex)

7) Castle Wolfenstein 3D (PC)

8) Mortal Combat (sega genesis)

9) Mission Impossible (vic20)

10) Zookeeper (arcade)

besides super mario brothers the games i remember most vividly are from the arcades:

I remember Star Castle - very cool game.
Two others that I played a lot were Sinistar and Dragon's Lair. Dragon's lair was like no other game at the time with its graphics.

NES: Super Mario Bros (1-3), Legend of Zelda (1&2), Metroid, Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Basewars, BattleToads, Double Dragon...
TI-99: Dungeons of Doom
PC: Doom, Monkey Island, Space Quest, Wolfenstein 3D, Carmen Sandiego, Descent, Myst, Populous, Sim City, Star Control...
SNES: Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 2 & 3 (5&6 in Japan), Mario Kart, Utopia, Super Mario World...
The list goes on and on.
