Software scammers have done this before
Jun 06
You may have read my first post about a company that is preying on the novice to sell them software that is free and not authorized by the software’s developer. I now have additional information about this company and other websites they run.
- I think this is the main website: http://interactivebrands.com/
Reason I believe is all of the tracking, stats, and cookies are done through that domain.
Since they are using tracking code in their websites from: http://interactivebrands.com/scripts/trackpidv3.js
After doing some research I came across a discussion about a company ripping people off with an MP3 Membership. It would seem that this company is the same as the company I had blogged about. After much reasearch I have found another listing of their domains. These domains, in my opinion, are probably used to rip people off.

- mymp3live.com
- myupclick.com
- upclkcorp.com

I believe DTV4PC is linked to upclick which seem to be linked toupbill. A service they offered for £16, they took £68 and disappeared.

I got scammed by upbill.com which showed up on my credit card as upclick.com I thought all was ok at first cos they charged me for the software i bought for the amount i thought it was…but now a month later they have charged me again for the same thing. I’ve now found there is no way to contact them by email and all their listed phone numbers are fake.

I got ripped of by mymp3down.com and now trying to get my money. Has anybody managed to do so yet? My bank cannot really help, because i've got a debit card.

You're probably stuck. Just chalk this up to a lesson to never use a debit card for an online purchase. Always use a credit card in case an issue comes up.

Ya I just got ripped off by mymp3down.com's 7-day trial deal too. I could not even access my account for 4 days then when I finally got the service and tried it everything I did drove my anti-virus crazy. So I did not download a thing and tried to contact them through email letting them know of the issue and stating I wanted to cancel and I have yet to get a response, over a week later. I tried to contact over phone when I got charged for the lifetime perscription and they would do nothing. The best bet as stated before is going through credit card or bank. I talked to bank and they said they could deal with it but they would have to order another debit card, which would take 7-10 business days to get, and the old card would not work.

I am in the same boat- money keeps coming out of my debit card account from mymp3down that I never authorised or requested. I don't even know what I am supposed to be recieving in exchange for my money. Close your bank account right now and change debit card providers. The bank said that by cancelling my card and having a new one issued the charges would stop BUT THEY DID NOT. I am also changing banks!!
