Can Sxipper replace RoboForm?

Sxipper is a free plug-in for Firefox that lets you log into any website with a single click. Sxipper saves you time by keeping track of all of your user IDs, passwords, and the personal data you share every day over the web. Sxipper logs you in securely and helps to prevent you from being victimized by phishing sites and phony logins.

The nice thing is it can handle entire forms beyond the login credentials. The free price tag doesn't hurt either.

  • very interesting - im a big roboform fan and the "known issues" for sxipper still has me a bit gunshy, but definitely something to keep an eye on.

  • I too use RoboForm and it's portable brother at work. I recently have started using it's SafeNotes features more too.

As for more than login and passwords, I sent them a feature request on this. I wanted to right click on any form object and be able to add it to the passcard for that site. This would allow adding things like pin numbers, account numbers, and such.

I also wanted the ability to have the data stored at a remote site, like a HTTPS or SFTP server. Why not? If you are using RoboForm, you are online. This would allow easier synchronization between RoboForm and the portable version without the need to do it manually, and it would cut down on the work need to back up this info. I would have to problem paying for multiple licenses as we still must do.

  • I think RoboForm has to make some of the changes you have requested or risk being overtaken by a company or application who does.
