Icon Editor Shootout Review

While most image editors could be used to create small icons, an icon tool is a utility which is (almost) exclusively devoted to designing icons, and has special features and tools designed to make quick work of small icon design.

A very comprehensive review of icon editors. Another software review from DonationCoder that, even if you don't need, its well worth bookmarking.

  • Cool! I've signed on to do a timely word processor shootout review (I'm going to try to keep it to ten, including Web 2.0 word processors), and it should be fun with Word 2007, TextMaker 2006, et al. new word processors.

Composing these mega-reviews is a real brain-splitter, though. It takes a lot of time to immerse yourself long enough in each program to be fair to them. Often, I'll ask for feedback or advice from the developer on some features just to make sure I get it right.
