Google protecting us from ourselves?

I have heard that Google will warn us about websites that could be potentially harmfull if accessed but had never come across it till now. While looking for sites that have cracked some of my software I came across one of the warnings.

Do you like the fact that Google is 'protecting' us?

  • Yes! Most people are not "techies" and are just surfing the net unaware of the dangers. This will warn them away from sites they probably never wanted to go to in the first place.

    For anyone who actually *wants* to visit these sites, you're not prevented, just warned.

    It's a good thing.
