AdSenseLog v4.0

Another version of AdSenseLog has been released and I thought I would highlight some of the new features and some of the features I like.

Highlights of whats new (or just what I want to highlight):

  • Enhanced graphs. A huge improvment is the ability to select the colors used on the charts and graphs - being colorblind this was important.
  • Newly design interface. I really like the left-hand treeview for selecting between analyzation results. The new system takes some getting used to but works well and sets a great foundation for future growth.
  • Added an option so when closing the application doesn't keep asking if you want to minimized to tray. This was annoying in previous versions.
  • In tables the first day or channel is highlighted (also an option to turn this off) so viewing groups is very easy.
  • Ability to send an email when the stats change. Not sure of the use for this but I like the option.
What can be better?
  • How about the ability to monitor several Adsense accounts and switch between them. This would be great for people like me who assist clients in setting up and monitoring their Adsense accounts.
  • Table data should span the window size. Not sure why but it just doesn't feel right to not have it resize.
  • When sorting columns on the tables maybe provide an hourglass since sorting can take time and there is no feedback that something is happening. I had clicked the column sort and then kept re-clicking thinking nothing was happening.
  • Maybe have the summary also summarize channels for a selected time frame.
This is an application I blog about often because its one of the few applications I have running all the time.
