MeCanBe

MeCanBe approached me several months ago to review what they were going to be offering and possibly blog about it. What they are offering is a web 2.0 site where you can create a goal-list and share this with others or just keep to yourself to help you achive your goals.

At the time I wasn't all that impressed with the current state of the project and really wasn't interested in telling anyone else about it.

Well, I have seen the future of this website with some preview screenshots that was emailed to me and now I think they have finally created something that people may find useful. Not sure I would use it but some of you may.

My suggestions (without trying MeCanBe since there currently is nothing for the public to try):
  • Create an FAQ as there isn't enough documention on the website and people visiting once may not ever go back
  • Goals should be built on tasks and tasks should be tracked. Kinda like a group of tasks can become a goal. This could take the place of the Outlook Task List - which I use heavily
  • Tasks can be emailed, SMS'd, or even pushed to Google Calendar on a reminder basis as set when the task is entered
  • Tasks and goals can be 'tied' to other users of the site for assistance. This is what I believe the current thought process is for the website
Basically, Goals is great but tasks will appeal to a far wider audience.
