Excel limitations
I needed the information for someone and thought I would post just in case anyone else wanted to know.
- Worksheet size: 65,536 rows by 256 columns
- Cell contents (text): 32,767 characters
- Sheets in a workbook: limited by available memory
- Names in a workbook: limited by available memory

32767 characters can be stored in a cell but visually you can only see or print 255 characters - have had situations in work where people want to use Excel for text data where they would be better off using Word tables
