What will run at startup
While looking through the massively helpful site of SysInternals I came across a tool I have not tried before: Autoruns.
This is probably one of the most comprehensive tools I have found for knowing what will be happening when your computer starts.

Between Autoruns (a terrible name) and Process Explorer, these are great apps, though even "htppd" trashes both!
